So, some of you may know that I have been doing freelance web and graphic design for some time now (around 3-4 years)
well, I've not accepted my first full time job, at a great local web design company!
www.visualsoft.co.uk
I had the interview on Monday, and it went great. The offices looked nice, the people were friendly and the role itself sounds ideal to me.
It is mainly a creative job, meaning I will handle the look and feel of the website, web elements, banners, logos, print material...etc and not have to worry about the development side - which is perfect for me (someone with limited coding knowledge)
I was offered the job later the same day, so I guess that means I did something good at the interview!
I'm thankful to have a job waiting for me for when I leave college, especially at a time when finding any job is hard, never mind one that is perfect for me and for a top class company.
I'm currently trying to see if I can change my college timetable so that I can go in and work 1 or 2 days a week there, until college is over (around 2 months time)
If you want to check out the company I will be working for, www.visualsoft.co.uk
Also, regarding freelancing, I doubt I will have enough time to continue accepting freelance projects, so that's getting put on hold, I may from time to time take on small projects, or ones that really excite me, but as a whole, I won't be freelancing. I don't know what to turn www.aaronmoody.co.uk into, either keep it as a portfolio of my work, but not accept anymore, or turn it into a blog...who knows, we'll see.
